Founded in 1921, the Los Angeles Urban League is the city’s premier community organization in advancing equal opportunities on behalf of African Americans and other minority youths and adults through innovative economic development and economic development initiatives and social justice policy. Through its collective programs, services and advocacy activities and seven offices located in the Crenshaw District, South Los Angeles, and Pomona, the Los Angeles Urban League serves over 100,000 constituents annually. Overseen by President and CEO Nolan V. Rollins, the Los Angeles Urban League is one of the largest and most successful affiliates of the National Urban League Movement, which has affiliates in 100 cities throughout the United States.
