The Summit, now in its 12th year, is a gathering of top business leaders and government decision-makers at the UCLA Anderson School of Business. Industry and Government leaders will address topics of pressing concern to Southern California’s economy, including local job creation, transit oriented development, and global competitiveness. Previous participants have included U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer, California Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom, L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, L.A. Mayor Hahn, and executives from Fortune 500 companies.
This year’s Summit will feature the release of a new UCLA report examining the serious economic threat posed by the region’s shortage of workforce housing, and proposing novel solutions that incorporate forward-thinking public policy changes and a new approach to integrating the region’s growing transit system.
